Hallaton C Of E Primary School
I am immensely proud to be the head teacher of a school where Ofsted said "Attitudes to learning in lessons are exemplary" and " The school's strengths lie in its caring environment that encourages teamwork and empathy with others. We believe that every child should be nurtured in a safe environment and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Our dedicated staff and governors work hard to support our children both academically and socially. We strive to create a happy, stimulating and caring school. The contribution made by parents is valued and it in ensures that our children succeed and have high aspirations. We are very proud of our links with the Church and the local community.
Services
There has been a Church School on this site since 1864 and a visitor from that time would recognise much of the school as it stands today. In 2014 we celebrated 150 years of education and we are very proud that our school has gone from strength to strength. The school is a small Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School, providing education currently for just over 120 pupils from the surrounding villages and area.
Hallaton Primary school was founded by the Church of England to be, like the Church itself, of service to our children and all people in our local community. To that end, we aim to offer a high-quality and enjoyable learning environment that is underpinned by both Christian and British beliefs and values.
Our school day starts at 8.50am, children line up in the playground when the bell rings. Registration closes at 9.10 so any child entering school after this time must do so by the main office and will be marked as late on the register. We ask parents to park in the village and do not drive up Churchgate as it prevents the school transport from accessing the school and there is little parking available.
In 2011, the government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy. The DfE have reinforced the need "to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."
As a Church of England Primary School we have chosen to focus on 7 of the 15 Christian Values signposted by www.christianvalues4schools.org.uk. These were very carefully selected by the children in KS2 and other stakeholders such as parents and governors. These 7 values are not only visible in classrooms but along with planned curriculum work will be referred to throughout the year when the opportunity arises, not necessarily in an RE lesson.
