Broughton Primary School
Broughton Primary School is a one form entry primary with about 200 pupils which is situated in the small village of Broughton close to the historic market town of Kettering. The School is situated on the edge of the village and is surrounded on three sides by fields and open views of the the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.

Children are welcomed to our school in Year R when they are four years old and stay with us until they reach the age of eleven in Year 6. Our pupils come from the village of Broughton but also from Kettering Leisure Village, Cransley and outlying areas. Broughton Primary School has a wide range of facilities at hand to suit all the needs of our pupils and staff.
Services
Broughton Primary School welcomes children into a happy and stimulating environment, where each child is known well and valued highly and in which each child can learn effectively. To provide a partnership between teachers, parents and families, governors, children and all those who work in the school.
The children have the opportunity to catch up on homework, play on the computers, play board games and play outside on the playground / field (in good weather). Broughton Primary's football team take part in a number of events throughout the year.

They compete in friendly matches against local schools along with football competitions held at a variety of venues and finishing the year off with the Broughton Football Tournament which is held at our school in the Summer Term.A football club is run before school on Thursdays for Key Stage 1 and 2, and the school football team have practice during lunch periods in the summer term.
Children are admitted to school in September of the school year in which they will be five. Preference will be given to children from the Broughton and Kettering area and those children who have an older sibling already in attendance. Any appeals concerning the admission arrangements should be directed to the Head Teacher who will advise parents of the correct procedures.
The Government gives money to schools as part of their Annual Budget to help children from lower income families do their very best. This funding is called a 'Pupil Premium'. By just registering your child for Free School Meals, the school will get additional funding in their Annual Budget. For every child registered, Broughton Primary School receives an additional 1345 to improve provision for your child.
Broughton Primary School offers healthy, hot lunches to its pupils. The lunches are cooked fresh on-site by ABM Catering, used by many Northamptonshire schools. They offer a wide range of hot meals, jacket potatoes or sandwiches each day. Meals cost 2.30. All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for free school meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals initiative.
