I fell in love with Pilates 20 years ago, I was previously a reluctant gym bunny but Pilates challenged me physically and mentally in a way I had not experienced before. I initially trained with Body Control Pilates in 2010 and over the years I have qualified in all small equipment courses and specialist populations including :- Pilates for sport and performance, bone health, lower back pain and older adults, I am currently studying for my level 4 qualification.

I continually train to deepen my knowledge of functional anatomy and biomechanics, and with this in mind I have trained in an eclectic mix of relevant disciplines.I am also a qualified Reformer pilates teacher. It's important to me to take all my depth of knowledge and make it accessible to all clients whilst having empathy for our individual limitations.
Services
This is a safe and relaxed environment within which you can both learn and continue to practice the principles of Pilates including relaxation, concentration, alignment, breathing, centring, coordination, flowing movement and stamina. Here you can build an understanding of how your body moves under instruction, and explore the concept of the mind and body connection.
Life can be busy! It may be difficult to fit a pre-booked Pilates class into your schedule. As such, to help you still get the work-out you're after, New Forest Pilates is offering a subscription-based service that gives you access to over 40 pre-recorded videos, allowing you to work out whenever you'd like, wherever you'd like for just 10 a month.
A. If you accidentally cancel the wrong date from class go straight to 'Take Up' and claim that space back (you will be reinstated in class provided that no-one else has booked it in the meantime - so don't delay). I can't get to class, and it won't let me cancel as it's less than 12 hours before the start?.

I love every class that Lynda at Forest Pilates leads - she's encouraging, fun and thoroughly dedicated to helping each and every one of us achieve our own personal goals. She is hugely dedicated, constantly learning - although whenever she says she's been on a course, most of us let out a quiet groan as it'll mean she'll be inflicting some fresh new torture on our bodies! But if she didn't, we'd all be less flexible and not half as strong. I've been attending Forest Pilates classes now for over five years and can honestly say that it has helped with my running, swimming, cycling and sailing strength

Forest Pilates has helped my back tremendously. It has taken away quite painful aches while out walking. It has also increased my flexibility a great deal. I feel that this is important as you grow older. Lynda is very knowledgeable and understands our bodies. She is very encouraging and gets the best out of all of us

Can’t praise Lynda highly enough. I love her teaching style. She is clear and precise, and doesn’t leave anything to my memory, which is so very helpful. I had a couple of bad experiences with pilates before I joined Lynda and she has increased my confidence in my body after years of chronic illness which I will always be grateful for.
She is great at picking up posture points, even on zoom. I have much improved strength and flexibility from when I joined 2 or 3 years ago and I can’t even imagine stopping. So please keep going Lynda!

I'm a long distance cyclist and enjoy riding in the New Forest, I went to Lynda for help improving my speed and technique via pilates. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail she provided, and she really helped me to understand and listen to my own body better. I actually feel a lot more confident on my bike too. Thanks Lynda & the team at Forest Pilates! :)
