Lost my cat and dog within months of each other 12 years ago and they were very caring and understanding. Using them again for past 3 years. Fantastic friendly staff which were fantastic at treating our dog.

Our practice opened in 1994 in the Nottinghamshire village of Ruddington. We care for small animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small mammals. Our dedicated and skilled team of veterinary surgeons and nurses work seven days a week and we are ably supported by a specialist out-of-hours provider.

Incredibly helpful and caring of my cat at her end of life. Staff made a horrible situation so much easier to cope with.
In the event of needing to contact the duty vet out of hours, please ring one of the normal surgery numbers and listen to the directions given on the answer machine. We try to keep our fees reasonable, but they also have to be realistic and reflect the level of care provided. We ask that payment is made at the time of treatment.

There has been a veterinary practice at the site of Castle Veterinary Centre for well over 60 years. Mr Smythe who established it, and Miss Townley who succeeded him, specialised in treating companion animals at a time when most veterinary surgeons treated pets very much as a sideline to their farm work.
