In the event of needing to contact the duty vet out of hours, please ring one of the normal surgery numbers and listen to the directions given on the answer machine. We try to keep our fees reasonable, but they also have to be realistic and reflect the level of care provided. We ask that payment is made at the time of treatment.

For your convenience, we accept Delta, Switch, Visa and Access cards. My puppy had some health issues and so far they've been more than helpful. They always go above and beyond to make sure everything is covered even during the lockdown. Could not have asked for a better vet!
Services
We pride ourselves on a friendly, caring approach giving the highest standard of health care to you and your pets. Andrew and Kate qualified together from Glasgow University Veterinary school in 1988. They have worked in and around Nottingham for the last 20 years. They live locally in Woodborough and have 2 young sons and Mungo, a Wire-haired Hungarian Vizla.
Our modern veterinary practice has much more to offer its patients than just the treatment of injury and disease. Preventive medicine will help your pet to stay healthy and happy for longer. Vaccinations against the major infectious diseases (including the Leukaemia vaccine for cats*). All vaccinations include a free examination.
In order to provide the highest possible standard of care for your pets, we require the most effective drugs available and modern technical equipment, all of which has to be maintained and funded. We try to keep our fees reasonable, but they also have to be realistic and reflect the level of care provided.
Our practice membership scheme has been set up to enable you to spread the cost of routine preventative health care. This allows us to provide you with the support you need to keep your pet fit and healthy year after year. It allows us to administer the appropriate vaccines, wormers and flea treatments at the correct time with minimal financial impact to you, the owner.
Acupuncture is based on an ancient health system, which translates perfectly into our modern world. It involves the placing of needles into specific locations on the body to alleviate pain, improve recovery rates and increase resistance to disease. Acupuncture treatment should always follow an accurate diagnosis of the problem and a full appraisal of all treatment options.

I’ve been using this Vet for many years but of late they appear to be getting greedy. Prices are high as it is, but they also try to push you into buying things that you do not need.
Recently we got a new puppy, we collected him a week ago on Wednesday from his breeder, as is often the case with a puppy that’s been taken from Mum and doesn’t know where they are, he had some diarrhoea. I called the practice in Mapperley Plains to ask if it’s okay to give him Prokolin, which I’ve used for years when dogs have upset tummies. The lady on the phone said that we needed to bring him in so the

In response to your reply ** On multiple occasions we were told that you do not provide repeat prescriptions as you are not licensed to issue repeats and that we would have to pay for each prescription monthly , also our dog was booked in for a medication check as discussed via email, however you still refused us our dogs medications its not like we weren't bringing her to appointments ! **
We registered with Oak house vets in 2019 , brilliant care in the beginning, very caring and helpful, however once we decided to decline any further tests for our dog as her condition is life limiting and we
