Although with the recent turn of events it does seem like a long time ago when we were inspected, I do hope that you can read the report and feel proud of the staff and children at Haslemere. OFSTED were impressed with the broad curriculum offer across the school which has clear intent, implementation and impact and has a deep reading focus.
The school is the only school in the borough to have achieved 'Gold' Philosophy status and this is embedded in our day to day teaching, enabling children to be creative, critical, caring and collaborative learners. Behaviour in the school is superb and children love coming to school. We are a very inclusive school, with strong support for children with SEND.

I am very proud to be the Headteacher at Haslemere, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and support staff. The staff at Haslemere have high expectations of all the children, and would like them to leave school as confident, polite and independent young people, with the appropriate skills, values and learning to become successful in whatever their eventual career paths will be.
The children and staff at Haslemere created our mission statement. The children and their families came up with the core values and purpose of the school and as a staff team we created the new statement. To provide a happy, secure and caring learning environment where everyone thrives feeling safe, confident, valued and the wellbeing of each and every individual is a priority.
At Haslemere we believe the main concepts in History are: to investigate and interpret the past, to build an overview of world history, to understand the chronology and the communicate with historical vocabulary and convey information about the past. Through History we want our children to gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain's past and that of the wider world.
