Ronald Ross Primary School
We believe we can only do our very best, when we all work together in genuine partnership with you and the wider community. We aim to give your child every opportunity to achieve the highest possible standards in everything they do. Particularly, we believe that children need to leave school with skills in reading, writing and maths that will equip them well for the next stage in their education.

The success of our work here depends very much on a positive partnership between home and school.
Services
We are an outstanding, one-form entry, maintained primary school located on the border of Putney and Wimbledon, in the heart of the William Willison Estate. I hope you find our website answers your questions about the school. Last year we moved into a brand new building that enshrines our school ethos to 'Be the best you can be'.
We aim to provide an engaging and relevant curriculum that is fully inclusive for all learners. For our community to consist of positive, well balanced citizens who know right from wrong, make good choices and support those around them. To recognise and celebrate the talents and achievements of all learners in our school community.
Our school is named after Sir Ronald Ross, who discovered the link between the disease malaria and mosquitos. Ronald Ross was born in India in 1857 to a soldier and his wife. When he was 8 years old his parents sent him away to boarding school in Southampton, England. Later he became a medical student at St. Bartholomew's hospital in 1874.
We want to make sure that our school is a safe, secure and stimulating place for everyone. We recognise that people have different needs, and we understand that treating people equally does not always involve treating them all exactly the same. We recognise that for some pupils, extra support is needed to help them achieve and be successful.
Here are some of the comments made by visitors to our school. Warm welcome by staff and students in both classes, who have a lot of fire safety knowledge. Always a pleasure to come back here.' I have been really impressed with the care the staff have showing to all the children's development, the attention to detail and discipline and the cleanliness of the building.
