A high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science and design and technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems.
The core of computing is computer science, in which pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. We will eventually cater for 16 pupils, from reception to year 6, but in this beginning phase we have 4 pupils, in reception and year 1 (2 in each year group).

Objective: to recognise the challenges this generation has faced and ensure that every child reaches their potential on return to onsite education. We will do this through redistribution, refocus, assess, and teach. Background: For the last year there has been drastic disruption to the children of this generation and it is clear that their education and learning has been greatly affected.
The moment I became Headteacher at Ravenstone in 2016, I knew that it was an incredibly special school. I could not be prouder of the children, staff and community around us. We have achieved so much in the recent years and we have secured a culture and ethos within the school that is of high aspirations, care and a relentless drive to provide the children with the very best start in life.
At Ravenstone we are proud of what our pupils achieve and we are constantly challenging ourselves to achieve our vision of every child fulfilling their potential. Parent View is an online questionnaire that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child's school at any time. It is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views about their child's school to inspectors at the time of a school inspection.
Ravenstone's Core Values underpin our approach to behaviour and wellbeing of our children and staff. The core values form the basis of our code of conduct and are to be respected and abided by all stakeholders. These values are the core to our conduct and expectations of children. At Ravenstone these values replace the setting of 'rules' and we focus on what children should be doing rather than what they shouldn't.
The Board of Governors and staff at Ravenstone are fully committed to safeguarding all of the children in the school community. We believe that our school should provide a safe, caring, positive, and stimulating environment in which pupils can learn and which promotes the social, physical andemotional wellbeing of each individual pupil.
