Wimbledon Chase Primary is a very special school where our children are at the heart of all we do. We are a centre of high aspirations, which celebrates all levels of achievement. We are a school which promotes optimism and develops self-belief, ambition and challenge across the curriculum, within an inclusive environment.
Services
Through our history teaching at Wimbledon Chase, we aim that all pupils will develop a coherent knowledge of Britain's past and that of the wider world. We strive, through the study of the past, to equip pupils for their future. To develop skills to be able to ask perceptive questions, think critically and analytically, weigh evidence and develop an empathetic understanding of the culture and history of their own, and the wider world.
The admission brochure is published by the local authority and is available on the council website providing full details of how to apply for places in both Nursery and the Main School. Separate applications have to be made for the Nursery and the Main School. From the term after they turn 3, all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to up to 15 hours a week of free early education (The Universal Entitlement).
As Co-Chairs of Governors, it's our pleasure to introduce the Wimbledon Chase Governing Body and to provide you with an insight into our work on behalf of the school. At Wimbledon Chase Primary, the Governors are involved in all aspects of school life and contribute time and energy to ensure the school continually improves.
At Wimbledon Chase Primary School we are passionate about learning. Children are at the heart of all we do and we strive to provide the very best in primary education, working in partnership with the local community, pupils, staff, parents and governors to pursue excellence in all aspects of school life.
The purpose of the Pupil Premium funding is to narrow the gap in attainment between children from low income families and their peers as well as to increase the range of opportunities available to them and improve their life chances. When applying to a Merton school you will be encouraged to complete an application for free school meals.
