St. David's Primary School is a small school set in the heart of the picturesque village of Colwinston in the Vale of Glamorgan. The aim of the school is to provide all children with the best education possible and to ensure that they are given a broad and exciting range of experiences during their education.
Services
On behalf of all the children, staff and governors I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our website. As you explore it, hopefully you will start to understand what makes St David's a very special Christian family school. We are very proud of its values, ethos and the strength of its community. As the Headteacher I am lucky to work alongside a great team of teachers, support staff, parents and of course the children themselves.
That will come from Welsh Government and Section 106 contributions secured by the Council from nearby developments. The 21st Century Schools programme is a long-term improvement scheme designed to deliver top-class facilities and ultra-modern learning environments.
The two-storey development, built on the current school site by contractors ISG Construction, will consist of classrooms, a hall for sport and dining, offices, a staffroom and breakout areas.Within the grounds will be external play areas, trees and flowers will be planted, while state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels will make it one of the first schools to focus on low carbon energy use.

This leaflet explains what the tests involve and what the test results can tell you about your child's learning. Whole school worship is held in the school hall for four mornings each week and once a week children participate in class worship. A family service is held every half term and is taken by each class in rotation and parents, relatives and parishioners are welcome to join this act of joyful worship.
We are proud to have retained the Platinum Eco award since 2015 - the highest accolade possible. Over recent years, the school Eco Committees have worked extremely hard, particularly in achieving the Platinum Eco School Award which highlights the enthusiasm and commitment to sustainable development and global citizenship by all our staff and pupils.
The Healthy Schools Scheme is a Welsh Assembly Government Initiative, which aims to actively promote and protect Health. This includes all aspects of Health: physical, emotional, and mental and social, and the wellbeing of the whole school community. St David's actively encourages healthy lifestyles education.
