St Athan Primary School is a very welcoming school at the heart of its diverse community. We are based in a rural environment which means we are blessed with green playing fields as well as being surrounded by farms and farmland. We serve families within the village, surrounding communities and families linked to the military base at St Athan.
The school has been open since 1967 and is currently one form entry. We have a nursery attached to our school which runs half day sessions. Children can start nursery after their third birthday. As a school we pride ourselves on being fully inclusive and creating lifelong learners. We fully embrace the skill based curriculum ensuring pupils are given every opportunity to be independent learners and fulfill their potential.

In school and at home we know that the potential for the internet to be a valuable and fun resource for learning, entertainment and making friends is huge! But if you use the internet, there are risks! We feel that it is important to learn the skills to be safe online. In the same way you learn about safety when you leave the house, it is important to learn how to stay safe online.
Children start using computers from a very early age and are increasingly using the Internet more and more whether it is at home, in school, on their mobile phones or on a games console. With this in mind, Internet Safety and knowing how to help protect children and young people online is essential.
