Please be aware this is a 'live' documents that will be updated as and when the need arises. At its heart, Evenlode Primary School is a community where we want everyone to flourish. Our school is a happy, caring, safe place to be. We enable children to develop their own talents and to achieve their own individual potential.
We value everyone and we support children to thrive, as individuals and as part of a team. We have a creative, broad and experiential curriculum, where we make connections across a range of learning experiences to develop talents, skills and knowledge, confidence, curiosity and compassion. As enterprising, creative contributors, we are determined and able to think 'outside the box'.

Services
Evenlode serves the lower Penarth catchment area and is one of the main feeder Primaries for Stanwell High School. Evenlode is in a professional and fluid area, as properties are highly sought after - being so close to the capital City of Wales. We currently have approximately 430 pupils on roll with two classes per year group.
At Evenlode Primary school we are committed to providing a secure and happy environment where each child is valued and equipped with the necessary skills, enabling them to become independent adults and learners. Our aims, regardless of needs, background or religion are to include all children equally and to provide opportunities to develop independence, confidence, creativity and self esteem.
Evenlode was opened in 1969 as the first open-plan Primary School in South East Wales. The population of the school has risen dramatically in the last 30 years, from 240 in 1986 to the current 450. However the school building has had to change to accommodate more pupils and the original open-plan design has disappeared and made way for more conventional classrooms.
The Vale's Cashless system is now in place. However should you need to send payments directly into school please put the money or cheque in an envelope marked with your child's name, class. To avoid confusion for both Teachers and Admin staff children are only allowed to choose between school dinners and packed lunch on a week by week basis.
Our 'Saplings' Out of School Care is registered with the C.S.S.I.W and provides high quality childcare for children aged from 4 to 11 years in our School Halls. Our staff are all fully qualified in Play Work, and they are advanced paediatric first aid trained. The children can access a wide range of activities which are changed on a regular basis.
