Cavan Vets
Cavan Vets is an established practice which caters for all types of domestic pets. We have experience treating everything from dogs and cats, down to rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters etc. Our practice treats injury and illness and we also offer a range of services to help you to keep your pet healthy.

Our veterinary practice strives to provide the best care possible for all animals we treat and you can rely on our staff to do everything in their power to guarantee the comfort of your pet in the event it needs to stay with us. We are extremely passionate about our work with animals and we make it our priority to satisfy their every need and to promote a full recovery.
Services
We encourage all our customers to carry out a regular health plan for their pets, which includes keeping up to date with any vaccinations, as well as worming, and flea treatment. Routine checks will pick up on any dietary issues or small problems such as ear or eye infections, or skin conditions. Preventative measures are the best way of ensuring your pet enjoys good health, year after year.
As the owner of a puppy you are responsible for ensuring its long-term health, and ensuring pup has a complete course of vaccinations is an important first step. Look for a vet in Willenhall or locally who will offer advice on protecting your young dog from Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para influenza and Parvovirus.
Ensuring your kitten has been properly vaccinated is the best step you can take towards ensuring its health and wellbeing. If you are looking for a vet in Walsall to protect your can against Calicivirus, Rhinotracheitis and Panleucopaenia, Cavan Vets provide a team of experienced professionals who can provide good advice to any new cat owner, as well as carry out these routine shots.
As an experienced team with years of providing care to a wide range of pets, we are able to treat most domestic animals. We see rabbits, budgies, mice, tortoises, chickens, hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs, for example, on a regular basis and can identify many of the main health problems for each species.

Cavan vets is a honest caring vets that truly care for your pets. We have been with them for 12 years and not once have we ever had a bad experience with any of the vetnary staff. We unfortunately had to have our beautiful maisey put to rest on the 29.12.2021 the vet handled our girl with complete care. And unfortunately we had to let Maisey go we were given as much time as we needed when she had pasted and the vet and vet nurse were amazing how they helped me and my husband that morning i couldnt of asked for a better vet to take care of our beautiful girl. I appreciate your honesty and the care

I left a review over 3 years ago, and now I'm writing one again as an update to it. I lost my wonderful boy Milo in June, we called up Cavans and they got him in right away that morning. Unfortunately, he needed to be PTS, and the staff gave us so much care and love. They had known our dog since he was a puppy, they didn't rush us to pay, they let us grieve as long as we needed to and pay for everything when we picked up his ashes.
They wrote us a card, expressing their sadness at our loss. I can't begin to thank the staff at Cavans for their compassion, helping us through difficulties with our

Took my dog in with ear heamatola, paid nearly 500 quid with drugs and more antibiotics. They bodged him full of stitches all over and left a gaping wound inside his ear to get infected. Then one vet said it needed stitching to close it but another said leave it open its better to drain. Months later it still gaping and getting infected. Absolute rip off cowboys who on 2 occasions gave him so much anesthesia they really struggled to bring him round. If you value your pet don't use these cowboys.

HAD THE WORST C SECTION EVER SEEN
My dog went here for a C section recently, i took her back to see the same Vet (he is Spanish) as i knew she wasn't right, they advised she had Mastitis and not to attempt feeding she didn't have any milk present.
a few days later her Incision came open to find her insides coming out. She had am emergency surgery else where, to discover she had a severe infection (NOT Mastitis) to the point she had to have all her abdominal wall taken away in the hope we can keep this infection at bay. She is not out of the woods yet. Heard many breeders advise against Cavan

We have recently brought a new kitten and they have been lovely and helpful whenever I have called to ask anything. The vets that have seen him have always been kind and caring with him too, would definitely recommend them.

All the staff are so friendly here. I have been seeing the vet, Adam Urbanski and he is amazing. So patient and explains everything. Their prices are very reasonable compared with other vets but this does not affect the quality of care at all. Would highly recommend.

My mum took our dog here as she was starting to not feel well. The people working here were rude and inconsiderate towards my mum and implied she was an irresponsible owner who didn't care about our dog as she couldn't pay the £1000 up front for the checks she needed and was told she couldn't use her insurance. They caused a lot of unneeded grievance in the last week of our dog's life and didn't notice the signs that the PDSA picked up straight away for heart failure (a common condition of the type of dog and age). Would not recommend.

I had my dog spayed here, as it was the cheapest one I could find, but I will never make that mistake ever again. They didn't seem to care here either, just like St. Georges Vets up town. Offered me no after care, as my dog ended up having a false pregnancy as a result of being spayed, and the people that worked there seemed totally gormless and out of touch too. Wouldn't bother again.
