Carmel Vets
Important Notice to all of our Penn Fields clients. Seven Trent will be carrying out work in Jeffcock Road to replace old water pipes. Work will initially start at the Bantock Park end of Jeffcock Road, so access to the practice for the first 2 weeks or so will need to be via Lea Road near the BP Garage on the roundabout between Stubbs Road and Birches Barn Road.

Severn Trent have said that if any clients are having difficulties reaching the practice, especially in an emergency, to please speak to the workers and they will do all they can to help. There are 3 to 4 car parking spaces on our frontage if people park sensibly. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Services
Unfortunately accidents or illnesses can strike at any time, so we can reassure you that we provide excellent care for your pet 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. During surgery hours our Veterinary Surgeons and Qualified Veterinary Nurses are always on standby at the surgery to treat your pet in the event of an emergency.
At Carmel Veterinary Centre we are passionate about animals and offer expert care for every aspect of your pet's health and wellbeing. Accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the quality of our practice means you can rest assured that your pet is in safe hands, even at times when you are bound to be feeling anxious.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Based on the principle that prevention is better than cure, our fully trained and experienced nurses offer a range of clubs and clinics, free of charge, designed to help your pet lead the healthy life they deserve. Weight Watchers for pets! You want your pet to enjoy the best quality of life possible, but if they are overweight this can have an adverse effect on their mobility and general wellbeing.
As pet owners, we endeavour to make sure that our faithful companions stay fit and healthy, enabling them to live to an old age. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as us and at some point, we will have to prepare to let them go. Sadly, few of our pets pass peacefully away in their sleep. Therefore, we all wish to do the right thing at the right time, fulfilling our responsibility and commitment in their final days.

Having a family dog is one of the best decisions we made. So keeping them fit and healthy so that they live an full life and bring joy to the whole family (adults and kids) is important. Carmel enable us to keep them fit and well with the pet plan which is great value for money and the service has been nothing less than excellent so thank you all so much.

I've been taking my two dogs to Carmel Vets for a few years now. The staff are all so friendly and great with both my dogs. They take the time to explain everything clearly and all options available for treatment plans.
I had my second dog spayed early in 2021 and the after care service was brilliant with no issues with her recovery.
My older dog has recently developed signs of arthritis in his hips. The vet took the time to explain all the treatment plans available to him with a priority of making him comfortable and healthy for as long as possible. She shared stories of her own dogs who were

We have been with Carmel Vets for a number of years now. Having both our previous collies registered with them. I would be with another vet now. When we lost Charlie the staff were amazing, especially as we lost him during the pandemic.
We now have a new puppy, who had a nasty reaction to his injections. Again I couldn’t fault them. Reassuring, supportive and prompt in seeing him. This is the best vets.

We took our bunny in last Friday, she had a minor procedure and took her home. Saturday morning back in for a check up, they offered another injection to help her along (completely optional) at a small extra cost with the option to pay in 10 days when we take her back for another checkup.
A far cry from our previous experience with another well known Wolverhampton Veterinarians who chased us for payment less than 48hrs after putting our dog to sleep.
Carmels from our limited experience with them appear to be professional, responsive and efficient as well as reasonably priced.
