Services
Connaught House Vets was established over half a century ago and was one of the first practices in the country to be granted hospital status by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We continue to work to follow the highest level of the voluntary Practice Standards Scheme, so we can provide the best standard of care for our clients and their pets.
The hospital is located just outside Wolverhampton town centre on the A41. Since its opening on Tettenhall Road in 1977, we have expanded our services and facilities to meet the ever changing demands of veterinary medicine. To complement our consulting and surgical services we can offer the facilities of ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory and more (see Services).
The branch surgery at Oaken Lanes, Codsall has been in the same location for over 40 years. It is linked to the main hospital computer system and clients who prefer to visit Codsall can rest assured that their pets have the full back-up of the facilities at the main hospital. Cases requiring surgery are referred to Tettenhall Road and an ambulance service is available, by arrangement, for clients who do not have their own transport.
Like the Codsall branch surgery, clients have the convenience of their own local veterinary surgery, with the added reassurance that they have access to the full range of facilities at the Wolverhampton Hospital, should the need ever arise. Both branch surgeries' computers are linked to the main Hospital computer system, allowing immediate access to patient records from any of our locations.
The equine team at Connaught House provides veterinary services to all types of horses from Shires through to racehorses and competition horses to Shetlands. We offer a professional yet caring service where the needs of the horse and owner are considered individually in order to arrive at the most appropriate treatment plan.

This is my local vets. I have been taking my little Kittykat there for four years now. She has an allergic reaction to mites in the grass always during July, August and September. The treatment she has received has never been anything less than top notch. Catherine is her vet and she is kind, caring and highly knowledgeable. Just recently I had to take Kittykat back to the vets with a poorly tail, from another cat or other animal bite gone bad ways and even with the restrictions placed on the practice from the covid-19 situation she was treated promptly and properly. Would highly recommend this
