We are a small animal practice in Staffordshire, first established in 1973. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of vet surgeons and nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
We also offer free parking for clients at our surgery. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

Services
Melbourne Veterinary Centre has been practicing at our current site for over 40 years, originally based on the opposite site of the roundabout in Melbourne House. Our current site was converted from a three-storey house into a fully functional veterinary practice, officially opened by a Member of Parliament in 1971.
Here at Melbourne Veterinary Centre, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01543 502197 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact Pool House Veterinary Hospital on 01543 262464 or 01543 262433.

Really great service for our cat and us. Lovely vet Florin, lovely with our cat and us. That's really important to us so we were very satisfied with today's appointment. All treatment etc. explained fully to us by Florin. Also lovely helpful staff sorting out details, payment etc. Excellent service 😊😻

Got my 11 year old dog registered here after he fell ill and was being completely ripped off by campionan care literally less than half the price fpr all the treatment with better care being given. Exactly what a vet should be caring but also fair prices.

I've recently moved to the area and trying to register with them as a new local vet. So far, I have filled out forms online to try and register my pets and have heard nothing for weeks and weeks. Every time I try and call them during opening hours all I get is "We have no attendant right now. Please call back again." I've been calling when I can around work for weeks and get nothing. Dreadful service.
