D&T Veterinary Centre is a small animal practice, which has serviced the veterinary needs of companion animals in Rugeley and the surrounding area for over three decades. The Practice has links to the area going back even further having originally practiced in Church Street, Rugeley, a site which had offered veterinary services since 1923.
Donnachie and Townley originally provided care for both farm and companion animals but became a small animal practice only earlier this year. In 1992 the practice moved to The Veterinary Centre in Market Street in Rugeley - a purpose built premises, designed to provide the most comprehensive veterinary care available to your pet.

We understand the special relationship people have with their pets and we aim to provide the highest quality care possible in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our Pet Health for Life Plan is a convenient and affordable way to protect your pet and your family against preventable diseases and discomfort by making sure your pet's basic treatments are up to date.
If your pet is requiring surgery with us, your vet will explain the procedures involved, the estimated costs, and all benefits and risks associated with the procedure. If your pet requires a general anaesthetic your vet will discuss with you any risks which may be involved. We can offer pre-anaesthetic blood tests to check the health and function of internal organs that can be affected by anaesthetics (kidney and liver).
If your pet has undergone a sedation or anaesthetic there are a few basic guidelines to follow that will help aid the recovery process. A small bland meal should be fed on the evening following an anaesthetic/sedation. This is due to the fact that normal pet foods are quite rich and are therefore more likely to cause a stomach upset post operation.
