Holywood Primary School
On behalf of the children, staff and Governors I'd like to welcome you to Holywood Primary School. The life of the school is driven by enthusiasm and a desire to achieve. We aim to bring learning alive, making it exciting and stimulating. The school promotes the values and beliefs of respect, perseverance, teamwork, self-discipline, giving, compassion, honesty and responsibility.

The children are encouraged to display these values in school on a daily basis and to act as our ambassadors while outside the school premises. We are a school that likes to celebrate success at every level. Each child is encouraged to achieve their personal best and achievement is celebrated through weekly assemblies, displays of pupils' work, end-of-year Achievement Assembly and other events attended by parents and friends.
Services
We have some very talented artists, musicians, actors, dancers, athletes and swimmers and we want to recognise all their achievements. If you would like to share news of your child's achievement, please email us a good photograph and tell us about their recent success and we'll include them in our Superstars Outside School section.
The 1, 2, 3 Club is an after-school club for the children in Primary 1, 2 and 3. It takes place between 1.45 pm and 2.40pm each weekday during term time and is run by Mrs Carson, a member of the school staff. Children are involved in activity based learning including art, craft, model-making, music, educational games, imaginative play and, weather permitting, outdoor play.
We offer an extensive programme of after school clubs. A full list is shown below. There is a huge choice for our P6 and P7 children and we have several clubs that are suitable for P4 & P5 boys and girls. Tennis is available to all year groups in the summer term. P1 - P3 children are welcome to attend the After School 1,2,3 Club too.
Our Breakfast Club is open to all pupils between 8.00 am and 8.45am each weekday during term-time. It provides convenient early morning childcare for busy parents as well as offering the children their breakfast. The club is run by Mrs Forster (Team Leader), Mrs Nelson & Ms de Haan who are members of the school staff.
We make a range of reference documents available for download below. Other documents that may be of interest are on the Notes Sent Home page.
