Our Lady & St Thomas Roman Catholic Voluntary Aided Primary
Dear All It is with huge sadness and after a great deal of soul searching that I have submitted my resignation as both a Foundation Governor & Chair of the Governing Body of Our Lady & St Thomas RCVA School, or as we know it OLST. Today is "Thank the teacher day" On behalf of the Governing Body I wanted to say a very big thank you. School doors open at 8:45 am and closes at 3:10 pm for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils and at 3.15 pm for Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
Services
Our School is a National Support School and our Chair of Governors Mrs. Alison Aisbitt a National Leader of Governance. This means we share our talents with other schools. School Opens 8.45am children access the school through the front door and enter the playground where they are supervised by a teacher and teaching assistant.
Our Lady & St Thomas Primary school recognises that we are all unique and loved by God. We celebrate the uniqueness of each individual child in our care and aim to provide a rich and relevant school experience within the context of a Christian Catholic environment, dedicated to promoting Gospel values.
Keeping children safe at school is of paramount importance to us. It underpins every decision we make on a day to day basis and takes many forms including the recruitment of new staff, risk assessments for trips, health care plans for children, site security, regular child protection training, e-safety lessons for children and staff with accredited first aid and medications training.
At Our Lady & St Thomas School we want our children to become, global citizens who are proud of who they are, respectful and tolerant towards others and know their responsibilities to others. Our Collective Worship programme Nurturing Human Wholeness deepens our pupils understanding of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. Ofsted regulate and inspect schools and colleges to seek improvement in the service. They carry out large number of inspections and regulatory visits in England and publish their finding on their website.

The Department for Education (DfE) Performance Tables provide a reliable and accessible source of comparative information on pupil attainment and progress, absence, workforce and finance.The Performance Tables include percentages of achievement to Level 4 and Level 5 or above in reading, writing and maths and the percentage of expected progress in each subject.
