The Byerley Turk, the great stallion owned by the then Captain Robert Byerley, was arguably Middridge's most famous resident. The Byerley Turk was one of the founding stallions of today's thoroughbred horses and was stood at Middridge Grange, until being moved to North Yorkshire when his owner married.

At Byerley Park Primary School, we regard the safeguarding of children as our main priority. We believe that we all have the right to be happy, to be safe and to learn. We all have the responsibility to make this happen. We are all responsible for ensuring that each child remains safe, however the Designated Leads for Safeguarding are to be confirmed in the autumn term.
