Our value of inner Peace is rooted in the quote from Ephesians 2. 10, We are God's masterpiece, outwardly you may look like a piece of junk, but inwardly and in reality you are God's work of art. God does not make any junk. At Clearwell, we encourage everyone to see themselves as God's work of art, each unique in our own way.
At Clearwell Primary School we work hard to create a positive atmosphere where the children feel happy and secure. We realise that if children are to develop and learn they need a stimulating environment in which they feel valued and comfortable. We consider that the role of the school is to offer the children learning opportunities from a broad, balanced curriculum.
Clearwell admits children into the school in the September of the school year in which they are five. On registering a child for admission, details of name, age, date of birth, address, etc. are taken and the child is invited to attend three or four afternoons towards the end of the summer term before he/she begins as a full member of the school in September.
The Governing Body is appointed to ensure the school is run efficiently and responsibly and to offer support and act as a "critical friend" to the Head Teacher. Each Governor usually serves at least a four year term and their time and efforts are given voluntarily. Kate is a Parent Governor and currently the Chair of the governing body.
It has used pupils who are entitled to free school meals (FSM), looked after children and service children as indicators of need. They have provided a fixed amount of money for schools per pupil based on the number of pupils registered for FSM over a rolling six year period.

This grant, which is additional to main school funding, is seen by the government as the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their wealthier peers, by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools and is clearly identifiable.
