Brampton Abbotts C Of E Primary School
A school where 'happiness is created by achievement and achievement is created by happiness'. Brampton Abbotts Church of England Primary School, situated in the historic market town of Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire, is a Voluntary Aided Church of England school which can cater for 140 children. We aim to keep class numbers as low as possible in order to ensure each child can reach their full potential.

Each of our 5 classes is led by enthusiastic and experienced teachers and is supported by committed teaching assistants. Our children are valued and nurtured. Providing excellent pastoral care is a very important aspect of our school. The building is well-equipped and spacious, having been extended to provide more small study areas, an excellent new classroom for our oldest children and an on-site independently run Nursery.
Services
The staff at the school believe that the children of Brampton Abbotts Primary School will display high standards of behaviour at all times and treat others as they would wish to be treated themselves. For this aim to be realised, sets of rules are provided to create a harmonious structure to their behaviour in the classroom, the playground and out of school during trips and sporting events.
Parents considering sending their children to our school are encouraged to visit with their children during the school day to see the school within a working context. An appointment with the Head teacher can be made to organise this. Please note that whilst your child's application form for Primary School may state: 'Catchment School: Ashfield Park Primary' you can opt to attend Brampton Abbotts CE Primary School as your first choice.
We encourage all children to wear the school uniform to promote a common identity within the school. There is no official stockist but sweatshirts with the school logo can be purchased from the school office. Please ensure that all your child's belongings are clearly marked with their names so that they can be traced if lost.
Autumn 2020: We are currently only providing packed lunches and only to classes 1 and 2 and those children in KS2 on free school meals. The packed lunch is provided by Alliance In Partnership as before and consists of a roll or sandwich with either cheese, ham or tuna filling, cucumber or carrot sticks (or similar) and homemade biscuit, cake or flapjack (or similar) and a piece of fruit.
Parents are encouraged to make any payments to school for dinners, trips etc through the online ParentPay facility. Details of how to activate and login to your account are available from the school office. Through ParentPay, parents can make payments online at a time that suits them and they won't have to queue up at the school office with cash or expect their child to carry envelopes to school with consent forms and money.
