The Governing Body works hard to support the Headteacher, teaching staff and pupils with the aim of ensuring that Churcham Primary School is able to provide the best possible education for our children and to prepare them for life in modern Britain. The members that make up the Governing Body are chosen by the local authority, the community and parents.
Welcome to our web page, this is where as a PTFA we aim to keep you up to date with who we are, what we do, future event details and all our progress. The PTFA is looked after by a group of volunteers committed to fundraising for our small school, for all its children and staff. Each year we raise funds for the school, please find below a list of some of the events we hold or wish to hold.
In this technological world it is important that children of all ages learn the skills of communication. We provide many activities to develop speaking and listening skills. Shared reading is encouraged and we have a wide variety of books in our newly stocked school library. The skills of writing are taught through our daily literacy lessons and the children are given lots of opportunities to apply these skills in other areas of the curriculum.
For the academic year 2021/2022 we have identified the following development priorities. These priorities are discussed at our Full Governing Body and Teaching and Learning Committee meetings. We have 4 priorities. Create and strengthen the leadership team so that it is fully focussed on implementing strategies that will deliver the school's vision.
