At Hillview Primary School and Early Years we welcome our duties under the Equality Act 2010. Hillview Primary School and Early Years aims to promote pupils' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, with special emphasis on promoting equality, diversity and eradicating prejudicial incidents for pupils and staff.

Our aim for the school council this year is to have more action teams up and running that involve more children across the school. We also want to increase and improve the exercise we do as a school through action teams for outdoor activities, more sports equipment to use at playtime and making the daily mile happen regularly in all classes.
They also issued guidance on non-statutory sex education for primary school pupils. Despite being non-statutory, the DfE continue to recommend that all primary schools should have a sex education programme as part of their PSHE curriculum, which is tailored to the age and the physical and emotional maturity of the pupils.
