Services
As a Church of England School we set out to provide education within a Christian atmosphere. The spiritual life of the school is led by a staff of committed Christians and is further developed by regular visits from the clergy and by school services held at St. Bridget's Church. Children thus receive a religious education related to the worship and teaching of the Church of England.
Breakfast Club takes place in school between 8am and 8.45am every school morning. Run by a qualified supervisor, Breakfast Club provides pupils with a wide variety of breakfast food including cereals, toast and fruit. There are also games and activities for the children to play. Pre-booking is not necessary, any child can be dropped off on any day for Breakfast Club.
Parents are encouraged to make any payments to school for dinners, trips etc through the online SchoolMoney facility. Details of how to activate and login to your account are available from the school office. Through SchoolMoney, parents can make payments online at a time that suits them and they won't have to queue up at the school office with cash or expect their child to carry envelopes to school with consent forms and money.
We provide our pupils with a balanced experience of the curriculum throughout their time at Bridstow School. Lessons are planned to suit the needs of all pupils. We aim to provide a curriculum that is engaging and exciting which, when combined with high expectations of all of our pupils, makes a powerful combination.
As well as following the curriculum for core and foundation subjects in each class, we work hard to deliver a wide range of extra curricular activities, hoping to find something that will appeal to your child whether they enjoy sports, the arts or any other area of school life. Links with other providers ensure plenty of activities such as field trips, festivals, concerts, sporting tournaments and book fairs.
