After a very busy first week we look forward to settling in and taking on the challenges of the new school year. Garway is a school led by its Values, where children, staff, parents and governors work together to achieve united goals. The children have a powerful voice in moving the school forward.
We believe in celebrating the individuality of each child and hope they will leave the school confident of their worth, knowing they have the ability to make a difference. We have a very strong team, who are passionate about teaching and learning, providing differentiated activities so that each child is enabled to progress to their maximum capacity.

Services
Garway Primary School sits in a thriving rural village, in beautiful rolling countryside, close to Garway Hill. We have a very close knit community of children, staff and parents with strong links to the local village. A very active Parent Staff Association (PSA) provides fantastic support to the school and organises fundraising and social activities throughout the year.
Play helps young children to learn and develop through doing and talking, which research has shown to be the means by which young children learn to think. Our setting uses the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance to plan and provide a range of play activities, which help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development.
The school governors are all members of the local community. Our chairman, Mark Bevan, is a former pupil, and several other members of the governing body are parents or grandparents of children in the school. We share a common aim to see the school and its pupils thrive. Governors have a number of statutory responsibilities, such as monitoring and overseeing standards, health and safety and matters relating to safeguarding and child welfare.
Early Morning Club (EMC) runs every morning from 8:00 to 8:45 am and costs 2.00 per pupil per session. Breakfast is available every morning for children arriving between 8:00 and 8:15 and costs an extra 50p per pupil per morning. Please note that ALL spaces in EMC MUST be booked in advance. We cannot offer spaces on a 'drop in' basis.
Booking is available online for all school pupils and Pre-school children. All paid meals are 2.30, including Pre-school. This will take you through to the booking page for meals. You can then select the main course and dessert from the days you wish to order for. A summary will appear at the bottom of the page detailing the cost (this will be 0.00 for UIFSM and FSM).
