Services
Pupils will remember and recall important facts and knowledge from historical periods including those from the wider world. Pupils will acquire historical knowledge; use a range of sources to learn that past events can be interpreted in different ways and to ask effective questions. Pupils' learning is planned sequentially to ensure that prior historical knowledge is built upon and revisited to aid the transfer of knowledge to long term memory.
On behalf of everyone at Woodfield Community Primary School we would like to extend a warm welcome to our school website and hope that as you explore it you gain a sense of the enabling and caring ethos we foster here. It is an immense privilege, as headteachers, to work with such happy, hardworking and polite pupils and welcoming, supportive staff.
Our vision is to provide a positive, happy and safe environment within a strong community, where every child feels recognised and valued - a place where inspirational, high quality teaching means that our children will develop an enthusiasm for learning and where all of their successes and achievements will be celebrated.
A place in Nursery, does not guarantee a place in the school the next year when children reach Statutory School Age, though equally, non-attendance of the nursery does not impact on entrance to Reception either. For both Nursery and Reception children, parents are able to put their child's name down at school, expressing an interest (this does not mean a place has been offered) at any time prior to their commencement age.
We are always looking for more effective ways to keep our parents informed and engaged in their child's learning journey and with new technology constantly being released, it's important that we provide you with the most effective, yet simple to use tools available.

We're excited to have invested in Weduc, a new digital communication and engagement tool that has been designed specifically to improve the way that parents and school staff communicate. Some examples of how we will use Weduc are to send information and letters, gain permissions for visits, book special dinners and to keep you up-to-date on learning in school.

Fantastic school, with such caring staff and community. It has been a really exciting few months which brought a new ICT suite and some updates for parents too in a new school app! Highly recommend!
