Services
Carsington & Hopton Church of England Primary School aims to serve the community and its children by providing an education of the very highest quality. In doing so, it seeks to discover and encourage the particular gifts of all pupils and to nurture in them mutual respect, spiritual and moral awareness and a sense of community involvement and service.
This website is an opportunity for everyone at the school to share what we do here with the wider community; it is populated with examples of children's work, photographs, videos and also lots of information about the school. We regularly update our content, so it is well worth checking the site every few weeks to see the latest exciting things that are going on in Carsington and Hopton.
This is a very exciting time at Carsington & Hopton Primary School as we journey forward together and I'm thrilled to continue as Executive Headteacher alongside my role at Kirk Ireton Primary School and The FitzHerbert Primary School. All safeguarding practice at the school is underpinned by Keeping Children Safe in Education 2020.
We are especially pleased that the most recent inspection report recognises that, Carsington and Hopton is a very small school, which sits at the centre of the village community. The other area where the school is inspected is by the National Society to gauge our distinctiveness and effectiveness as a Church school - this also grades our school as 'Good'.
