Services
Horsley Woodhouse Primary School is a wonderful school with a warm, friendly and dedicated team of staff. Our school prides itself on working together in order to achieve the very best outcomes for all our children.
Derbyshire County Council - the LA - co-ordinates the admissions to all Derbyshire Primary, Infant and Junior Schools. Essentially the Local Authority acts as a clearing house for all admissions and enables parents/carers to express a preference for one, two or three schools and to place these preferences in rank order.
Previous amendments have been made to the 2006 regulations in the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2013. The amendments make clear that headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Headteachers should determine the number of school days a child can be away from school if the leave is granted.
Online safety is an integral part of children's education in today's digital world and is embedded in their learning at school. We also want to help our parents and children improve their own understanding of e-safety issues so they can learn to use the internet and all digital media in a safe and secure way.
