A-Star Coaching is passionate about helping children of all ages and abilities develop through sports. Our aim is to inspire and motivate children to participate in sports through an enjoyable, safe and structured environment. We offer a range of services, including primary school sports provision, weekend soccer centres, children's parties, private coaching and holiday courses.

A-Star Coaching was formed in 2009 by Darren and Suzanne Charlesworth. The company recruited Rick Bell to build a small team of sports and football coaches to begin working in Greater Manchester schools. A-Star Coaching are a service provider for high quality multi-sports and football coaching.

At St Margaret's we have been very impressed by the work that A-Star Coaching have done with our school. The children have positively embraced the various sports offered at lunchtimes. This has led to an improvement in the health and fitness of our children, increasing the amount of sporting activities they participate in.
A-Star Coaching offer a wide range of services to primary schools and are currently working in Manchester offering lunchtime time multi-sports provision, after school clubs, after school football team training and PPA cover / PE lessons in curriculum time. A-Star coaching are in the process of re-developing the Manchester primary schools football League to aid the development of grass roots football in Manchester.
Rick Bell was one of the very first sports coaches in Stockport to launch lunchtime sports provision with a playground developed in a series of multi-sports work stations.
If your school is having problems and issues at lunchtime and the children are bored and frustrated with what they are doing or have been doing for many years then A-Star Coaching have a fantastic 8 sport multi play station that is set up on the school playground and sports field.Training and team building sessions for LO's and TA's to work with our coaches is included free of charge.

The after school clubs can be run in a number of different forms and can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of your school. They run straight after school, usually for an hour or an hour and a half and can either be focused on one specific sport or can be a multi-sports group.
Clubs based around a specific sport can help the children's development in that particular discipline as well as teaching them the importance of team work and hence developing their interpersonal and social skills.Sessions focused on one particular sport can be linked into a school sports team. The clubs may be school funded or parent / carer funded and if the latter, A-Star Coaching can manage the administration and payments if required.
