We believe that play is essential for physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual development and of course to children's well-being. In our school, play is any freely chosen activity which a child finds satisfying and creative. It may or may not involve equipment or other people. It might be serious or light hearted.
At Eppleton Academy Primary School, we believe in maximising the use of the pupil premium grant (PPG) by utilising a long-term strategy aligned to the SDP. This enables us to implement a blend of short, medium and long-term interventions, and align pupil premium use with wider school improvements and improving readiness to learn.
The provision of an exciting curriculum is pivotal to how children learn and develop during their time at school. We are determined that our curriculum will be rich, broad and deep and personalised to the unique needs of our pupils. Within year groups, overarching topics have been carefully chosen to interest and engage our pupils and also allow depth of learning.
