As good citizens of the world, we will be kind and fair to everyone, regardless of their backgrounds or whether they are our friends or not. We promise to be encouraging and helpful to our classmates, and help them be the best that they can be. I enjoy the outdoor spaces we use at break times - we are lucky to have the field and the woodland.
As handwriting is an important part of the 'New National Curriculum' and integral to the presentation of pupils work throughout school, we have introduced a 'Pen Licence' to key stage 2 pupils. They provide meals in 106 schools across the city. You might have heard on the news recently about the governments Obesity Strategy and Sugar Tax. The primary outcomes of these is that the government is setting each child the target of being active for 60 minutes a day, 30 of which have to be at school. At High Green we are taking this very seriously and are committed to providing at least 30 minutes of physical activity to every child each day.
Sheffield City Council and our partners at Streets Ahead have provided an overview of the work taking place across the city. The Streets Ahead team closely monitor the weather forecast throughout the winter months so they can be ready if bad weather arrives. A fleet of 19 gritters are on standby, 24 hours, 7 days a week through until May.
