Services
On behalf of all the children, staff and governors, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Millhouse Primary School. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive school that works hard to meet the needs of all our children. We aim to provide every child with the very best start to their education and to ensure that they feel truly valued.
Our teachers nurture children who are determined to achieve the best they can; who believe in themselves; who show respect and appreciate the gifts and abilities of those around them; and who co-operate with one another patiently and responsibly. Our children thrive in an environment which stimulates their curiosity and encourages them to be creative as well as hard-working.
Our aim is to ensure that we provide a curriculum which meets the needs of children at Millhouse within the framework of the National Curriculum. We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum aiming to provide children with a wide range of engaging and stimulating experiences to develop a love of learning.
The Pupil Premium is a government initiative providing additional funding to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. These include pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals and those looked after by the Local Authority.
At Millhouse Primary School we strive for all our pupils to leave us with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. We believe PE and sport play a crucial role in the development of positive attitudes and behaviour for learning.

All my grandchildren have either been or are currently there. 4 of my granchildren moved to this school from other schools and their standard of education has improved massively. 2 of which are now at Penistone Grammar and are achieving excellent results. This is I put down to their time at Millhouse Primary and the quality of teaching they received. Another 2 moved during yrs 2 and 5 and have excelled in their work since day one, which is a massive improvement from their previous school. My
