Our personal training programmes have been helping 40-60 year olds from Sutton Coldfield overcome long term back and neck pain for over 15 years.

They have also been helping people reverse type II diabetes and eliminate IBS permanently.

Through over 10 years of working in gyms, sports clubs and various clinics in and around Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham and studying with the world leading CHEK Institute in San Diego Jim developed a methodology and approach that achieved the stated results of well over 90% of his clients (Jim was desperate for it to be 100% but he is dealing with real people after all and nobody is perfect).
JT Ethos has transformed the fortunes of hundreds of clients suffering from chronic health and fitness problems. Through Jim Thorp's holistic approach to health and medicine he has given people a new lease of life and enabled them to be free of pain. Jim was the 11th person I had seen with my back pain when I started working with him in 2006.
Damien's initial reasons for coming to see us were centred around needing more energy, getting on top of his ever increasing waistline and preparing himself to attack his new work role with real zeal and enthusiasm.

Although aware of our reputation, he was impressed by the scientific measurements of his posture, his movement and his core strength and also by the immediate impact of our treatment in removing both his knee pain and his need to wear orthotics on day 1!
Aj came to us because he was struggling with an ever increasing number of niggling little injuries - back, ankle and knee problems were the main ones. Whilst he had tried physiotherapy, he felt that they were never getting better to the point where he could consider himself free of them and then before he knew it another injury would crop up.
When Hayley first came to speak to us her focus was very much on losing weight ahead of her wedding. She was using the gym and swimming 4 or 5 times a week and trying really hard to watch what she was eating, but not seeing the results she wanted. She was also keen to gain more confidence in herself, understand her body better and to have more balance in her life.

Jim is an expert! Jim helped me improve mobility and manage osteoarthritis to the extent that even after more than 5 years I still don't require surgical intervention or pain killers. The caveat being ... listen to the advise, follow the advise and persist!

I appeared in Jim’s office just over 2 years ago. I was emotionally drained, felt guilty for working instead of being with my then 3 year old child, felt guilty when I was with him that I wasn’t working on my business. I no longer played elite level sport because I’d given up to concentrate on being a mum. I wanted my sparkle back but despite being well drilled at goal setting as an athlete I just couldn’t find a path forward!!

I went through a 12 month programme with Jim Thorp - my goal was to start playing golf again after a serious back problem. The initial consultation was quite lengthy, with the aim of getting me to understand what my real goals and motivations were and what aspects of my lifestyle was getting in the way.
Then we got to work - Jim was very thorough in focusing on the work I needed to do (including of course the precise exercises and drills) to repair my body and get my mindset right.

I first went to JT Ethos to get help with persistent back problems which have resulted in 3 operations and fairly intrusive surgery. After only a couple of months of starting with Jim and his team I was fitter and lighter than I had been in a long time.
