At Woodseats Primary school we aim for excellence and enjoyment in both the curriculum and in extracurricular activities. We are actively preparing children with the skills they will need to be successful learners in the 21st century. Inclusion is at the heart of what we do and we strive for the best for each and every child in our care.
Our aim above everything else is that children are excited about their learning, enjoy coming to school and feel safe and happy so that they can thrive whilst they are in our care and achieve all that they possibly can. We look forward to working in partnership with parents and carers as we recognise that their role is of paramount importance in the education of all children.

As we are now a part of Steel City Schools Partnership the Board of Trustees is legally accountable for the decisions made in all its academies. However, this does not mean the board is required to make them all itself; it can delegate decisions to the Local Governing Bodies (LGB). The LGB is well placed to assess whether the school is working within agreed policies, meeting agreed targets and managing its finances well.
Friends of Woodseats School (FOWS) are a group of volunteers who run events and activities with the aim of making the school welcoming and fun for all our children and their families. They also raise money to help provide extras for the children, mostly focussing on playground improvements. As a part of our school community (whether as a parent, carer, staff member, grandparent or school volunteer) you are automatically part of the FOWS family.
Research has shown that 11% of children and young people between the ages of 5-16 have a diagnosable mental health condition (NHS Digital, 2017). It is also thought that 75% of all adult mental health conditions start before the age of 18, with 50% starting before the age of 14 (Kessler et al., 2005).

My son changed schools because i felt he was targeted on by the teachers because i was different from the typical mums. My son was always told off and never was helped and guided. I felt the school only rewards and helps and likes the children who have parents that work, have a car and a nice house etc.
The school does favour students and this is not how it should be. Also they always interfere with family life and make mountains out of molehills. I thought this school was a good place for my son but no! I felt targeted, left out, talked about etc.
My son is now at a much better school where
