I have been headteacher at this school since 2002 and during that time there have been many changes in education. Through all these changes we have held true to two basic beliefs and principles about what makes a good school and a good learner.
Firstly, our school motto, 'Learning Through Enjoyment' highlights the importance that we place on ensuring that Bradway Primary school is a happy place to be and that the content of the curriculum is stimulating, relevant and engaging for our pupils. Our success in achieving this culture in school is supported by the fact that in our last four inspections Ofsted have particularly commented on the quality of our curriculum.

Services
There are some extra items of school wear which are not compulsory but many parents have purchased them for the winter. Uniform can be ordered via the office or via The Stitch Factory who provide the uniforms. We have each size in stock to enable you to see which size you will need for your child. Orders are collected from the office on Fridays and the completed orders will be returned the following Friday.
We believe that children that are healthy, active and who eat well do better in all areas of their school work. Our children in FS2 and Key Stage 1 are offered free fruit at morning break. We hope that by introducing this habit at an early age children will carry on bringing their own fruit snack every day.
Empowering students to be the change our sustainable world needs by engaging them in fun, action-orientated learning. Eco-Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
We take part in various projects to promote sustainability, we recycle as much paper in school as we can, you can bring your old batteries to be recycled and from time to time we have collections of unwanted clothing. The next collection for this will be in the autumn term. During the summer holiday in 2014 a solar shelter was constructed on the school playground, thanks to the funds raised by the Friends of Bradway Primary School.

This is in line with other Sheffield Schools in order to reduce the amount of cash kept in schools. The Council are already not accepting cheques from outside suppliers. Therefore payments for dinners and milk have to be made via ParentPay. Our previous survey regarding changes in dinner money collection showed that an overwhelming majority of parents agreed that payment half termly/termly would be preferable.
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who may be vulnerable to underachievement. The aim of the funding is to tackle inequalities between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged pupils. We view each child holistically and use the funding to identify individual needs and specific barriers to learning.
