The Intro Class is free of charge and open to anyone who is mobile and healthy, allowing you to try a Reformer class, without obligation, to determine whether it's suitable for you. Intro Classes are held each Saturday (see timetable for details), are 55 minutes in duration and MUST be booked in advance.
All Reformer Intro Classes include full explanation of how to adjust the machine for individual settings and incorporate a basic pilates class. Through spring resistance the Reformer classes offer support when required whilst also challenging more-advanced participants via increased spring tension or greater instability, depending on the goal of the exercise.

I have suffered with lower back pain since a disc popped in my back in my thirties, as I got to mid forties it really started to slow me down and I gained a lot of weight. I have been working out 1 to 1 with Louise (two 1 x hour sessions per week) and from about week 5 my flexibility had improved significantly and my pain reduced remarkably.
Originally from Wallasey, Louise began her career in the fitness industry, teaching aerobic classes for a local health-based charity. In 1995 she left to travel the world and subsequently settled in Hong Kong where for the next 19 years she worked as a personal fitness trainer.
She eventually established a private fitness coaching service which allowed her to focus on areas of personal interest including movement with ageing populations (having watched how Chinese seniors prioritised daily exercise in the parks she was impressed with their health, longevity and movement ability).Pilates became another piece of the puzzle and She first qualified in Mat Pilates in 2005 with Polestar Pilates U.S.

Yes - most people have never experienced pilates on a Reformer and your safety is our priority. You'll need socks, your own water bottle and if your hair is long it will need to be tied back. The class will begin with a brief introduction on how to safely set up and adjust the Reformer for your personal requirement.

I started reformer pilates a few weeks ago and I love it. Louise 's workouts really suit everyone and she is a fun and energetic instructor. She takes the time to listen to your personal needs and helps to amend aspects of the programme if required. The other people in the classes are as welcoming and friendly as Louise and that makes the experience even more enjoyable. If you are considering pilates I would 100% recommend this place.
