I provide first-class fitness training and coaching tailored to your individual needs from my private, one to one/two studio in Burnham, on the border of Berkshire and south Buckinghamshire. Matt Bryant Personal Training was established in 2005 and is a private business, wholly independent from commercial gyms.
The service is completely focused on the clients and their goals and needs. I have a sports science degree, a diploma in sports massage, I am an NLP practitioner, with current knowledge from ongoing professional training courses and years of personal experience in a mixture of endurance and strength sports from Ironman to Powerlifting.

My approach to working with clients is borne out of having spent most of my life participating in sport, studying fitness and training hundreds of clients for over 16 years. I'm confident I have developed a strong understanding of how to achieve results. My goal is to keep training sessions as straightforward as possible and find an individual route to success which suits my clients' lifestyle and situation.
Personal training is the premium service that is completely focused on the client. Every client has an individual programme tailored precisely to their goals and requirements. There is no 'one size fits all' programme. When working 1-1, Matt draws on his personal experience of training for competitive events, his many relevant qualifications as well as his 16 years' industry experience to provide a customised service.
You will receive all the attention enjoyed by 1-1 Personal Training clients, while benefiting from a shared sense of achievement, increased motivation and support, both in the gym and outside your sessions. Whether indoors or outdoors, the space is a safe and private environment for you and your training partner to work on your fitness and your goals without distractions.
Pilates creates a balance between strength and flexibility, reconnects your mind to your body, develops core stability and improves coordination and posture. Pilates can be a part of your training or a separate service. You can join one of my mat-based classes or have private one-to-one sessions in my studio.
I've based my life around exercise in some form or another. At school my preference was sport over the class room so studying Sports and Exercise Science at university seemed a natural choice. After graduating with BSc (Hons) I travelled around Australia and South East Asia for 18 months. I worked as a fitness instructor in Sydney and studied Muay Thai in Thailand.

My brother and I started training with Matt to improve my brother's fitness and help him progress further in Reading FC's advanced squad. When I started, I had no idea about weight training or any sort of strength conditioning, being a dancer I never really thought it would suit me and I definitely didn't think I would be any good at it. But here I am a year and a half later swinging 16kg kettlebells and doing pistol-squats! The improvement I've seen in myself and my brother has been incredible. Matt's continued encouragement and vast knowledge has helped us both achieve goals we'd have never imagined

Matt has been my personal trainer for nearly 2 years now, i needed to lose weight and get fit , he has given me the help, guidance, confidence and motivation to achieve this. He is an exceptionally nice bloke who has helped me achieve so much especially with the run up to our wedding . although i have reached some goals I never thought I would,i continue to go training with Matt as it is a way of life and really enjoyable and great results. I would recommend Matt to anyone who is either new to training or is wishing to find a new personal trainer . Thank you

I started training with Matt around 7months ago, I remember coming to the free consultation and at the time my self confidence wasn't great at all and I was overweight. Matt quickly put me at ease and made me feel extremely comfortable and this has only continued throughout the time that I have been training with him.
I love the fact that Matt has his own gym, the equipment is great & it's nice to not be surrounded by loads of other people in a gym. Matt is extremely knowledgable & I love how he has shown me how versatile fitness and exercise can be. Matt always pushes me to go that little bit

I have been training with Matt for the past eighteen months. During this period, my body shape has changed considerably and I have reduced by 3 dress sizes from a size 16 to a size 10. I am fitter, healthier and more aware of my body than I have every been and this is all due to matt's continuous support, knowledge of exercise, diet and nutrition and encouragement.

I have been a client of Matt's for a couple of months and despite being a member of a gym who have their own personal trainers I chose to go with Matt, an independent PT. He didn't try to push me to purchase a course of sessions in advance or dictate how many sessions I did a week - he was flexible and his view is it needs to fit in with your life and schedule. I also liked that he has a private studio so you are not training and learning new exercises etc in a busy gym.
I've been going to the gym for years and enjoy running but have shyed away from the weight section being put off by the grunting

Matt is an awesome trainer. When I was looking for a trainer I wanted someone who not only talked the talk but walked the walk too. Out of the many I met I was most impressed by Matt's dedication, commitment and knowledge about fitness and health.
Having had two children and various health issues over the past few years I was not happy with my body and level of fitness. In the 5 months that we have been training Matt has easily improved my fitness and body tone , but more importantly to me, this has helped to lift my energy, confidence and life.

I have learned so much about myself and my training by attending regular Pilates sessions with Matt. He is motivational and encouraging but pays real attention to your personal goals, buying into them with you and supporting you each step of the way.
He maintains an optimistic belief in what anybody can achieve with a bit of commitment and strikes a great balance between pushing when you would prefer to stop and developing your confidence so you are willing to give it another try.
Pilates with Matt is now firmly fixed in my weekly training regime and I would encourage anyone who wants to invest

Matt is a fantastic personal trainer. I lead a crazy lifestyle that makes it difficult to stay on track. Matt has worked hard to understand me, my challenges, my goals and my motivations to find ways to lead me towards a healthier lifestyle. Having given up on disciplining myself to go to gyms, I decided to go down the personal trainer route. Matt was recommended to me by a friend, and from the first visit, I knew I'd made the right decision. From the outset, Matt makes sure he understands your needs and works with you to set goals so you always see results. He is patient, but knows when to push you harder. He changes the exercises to keep you motivated and interested, and has a great sense of humour so that makes every workout fun. Matt is a great personal trainer, great at motivating you to achieve more than you think you can, but in a friendly way. As a physiotherapist myself I was impressed by Matt's level of knowledge and skill. Would definitely recommend him to anyone of any ability, if you are just starting out and need to get fit/lose weight or already training but want to improve further, Matt is the PT for you.
