We are Active Aims and our business is health, wellbeing and fitness for individuals and businesses. Established in 2002 with a studio based in the centre of Loughborough, we offer personal training and rehabilitation programmes designed specifically for the individual.
Services
Established in 2002, Active Aims was originally an extension of 'Dynamics' - Di Fisher's personal training business. The objective of Active Aims was to incorporate a number of different branches of health, fitness and wellbeing. This vision included sports-specific education, improving business performance, health at work and specialist exercise programming.
Di is an exercise physiologist and has been a personal trainer since 1995, having studied with The American College of Sports Medicine. Di has a wealth of experience within this industry and her work has been varied, ranging from developing wellbeing projects within companies, personal training, rehabilitation and delivering personal training qualifications to perspective trainers.
The gym provides a perfect space for personal training. It is fully-equipped to ensure that all exercise prescription can be delivered effectively and efficiently. This piece of equipment is a sturdy, multi-functional, simple (but effective) bit of kit, which can provide you with a whole body work out on its own.
Recent figures show that absenteeism costs UK business's 29bn per year - that's an average of 9.1 days per person per year, twice as much as the US and four times as much as Asia. Stress-associated illnesses account for a huge number of sick days, and many of these can be avoided if employers take the time to provide options for health improvement.
Active Aims' physical functional assessments here at our Loughborough clinic provide you with an overview of some key elements of optimal physical function. The clinician delivering this assessment is not a doctor or GP but an exercise physiologist. In today's environment it is common to see altered movement patterns, which may have a number of root causes: repetitive movements and long periods of sitting are two good examples.

Di is amazing and so are her team - I have never liked ‘normal’ gyms and always avoided them - they are not for me as all my life I have been into team sports like tennis doubles, netball and now I’m also a golfer. However Di has definitely won me over with thus style of personal fitness in small groups - these sessions are tailor made to you and great fun and Di is teaching me the importance of strengthening work so that I can continue playing the sports I love. She is a great motivator! I never thought I would enjoy these sessions but I do immensely- and I’m very impressed

I went along with my fella to train in a small group and found it a really good workour. The instructor was helpful and motivating and found alternative exercises for me to do when I struggled. I would recommend fit friends to anyone, beginner or experienced.

1:1 sessions with Di and Fit Friends with Elrick are great, really motivational. Have gone from feeling completely unfit after having three children to looking forward to training sessions and seeing results I didn’t know I could achieve.

Brilliant gym and trainer! Have been going to Di for personal training since May 17, have now taken up a 12 months fit friends contract. Loving the training, the flexibility and results I am seeing. I feel I am pushed to do the best I can and beyond! Love the advantage of a personal trainer with maximum of 4 people in any one session. Great idea Di!

Di is an excellent trainer who can personalise a training programme for all types of customers... from someone totally new to fitness to someone who trains regularly. Di uses a wide range of methods and is extremely motivational!! Definitely go to Active Aims if you want to make some changes.
