We offer modified physio-led Pilates sessions in Macclesfield. Physio-led Pilates is not just for people with injuries; the exercises can be modified from beginner level to elite level athletes. You will be under the supervision of a qualified physiotherapist who can adapt exercises to your needs. If you do have problems such as back pain, this method is a safe and effective way to help improve strength, posture, balance and flexibility.
It also promotes well being and is an enjoyable way to exercise. Most of us have something we can improve, whether it be to improve flexibility, strength, or balance. Pilates is a great way to address all of these areas and more. If you do an exercise that doesn't feel right for you - tell me and we can modify it so that you can join in every step of the way and achieve your goals.

The classes are 10.00 per session and run in blocks of 6 consecutive classes which are to be paid in full in advance. Block-bookings take priority over ad-hoc bookings, and your place will be reserved. If you refer a friend into one of the classes (it doesn't have to be the same class that you attend), and they sign up to a block of 6, the referrer gets a free session in their next block.

A great Pilates class! All levels catered for as the exercises have different levels so you can work up as your fitness and strength progress week by week. A big advantage of being taken by a qualified physio is that Chrissie will adapt exercises to suit, or offer alternatives especially if you have an injury/weakness. She also makes sure you are doing the exercises correctly, as very subtle changes to your body position can have quite an effect on the muscles worked.

Every week I look forward to Chrissie’s pilates classes. When I first started going to classes several years ago I discovered parts of my body I never knew existed. They would carry on reminding me of their existence for several days afterwards. Over time it all got a lot easier.
There’s no boredom in class as there is a good variety of exercise. Chrissie can always suggest another level to challenge you just a bit more, but if you’re tired after a busy day it’s perfectly fine to step down a few levels. She’ll also suggest alternatives when you’re injured or the exercise is just not

Pilates classes with Chrissie are brilliant!!
She is a fully trained APPI Pilates teacher and also a Physiotherapist with the NHS and has lots of experience In both.
The classes she teaches are always varied each week which makes them very enjoyable. After every exercise is explained she will walk around to make sure you are In the correct position and because the classes are small you feel you are getting Individual attention, to get the best out of the exercises you can work to which ever level you are at, either a beginner or more advanced.
If you have any back or other Injuries Pilates classes

A morning 1 hour class of Physio-led Pilates in the large and airy Gawsworth Village Hall with plenty of parking. Bit apprehensive to start with. Thanks to a torn shoulder tendon followed by lockdown it was a while since I’d done any Pilates. But I needn’t have worried. Chrissie gave us such a warm welcome and manages to guide our mixed ability class so that everyone can take the class at whatever speed and level they feel comfortable with. Chrissie works hard to make the sessions varied and adapts exercises to help me manage my torn tendon. There’s plenty of encouragement but we are all

Our Pilates Class is led by a qualified and competent Physiotherapist. She takes time to show us our’ moves’ and is careful that people do not take on exercises if they have health difficulties in that area of their body. Wild About Pilates is very good value for the money charged. The atmosphere is pleasant and all enjoy attending the Classes.

As a middle aged man trying to get fit, the thought of Pilates really appealed, but the thought of actually attending a class filled me with dread. Fear not, Chrissie made such an effort in all our communications prior to my starting and made me feel so welcome that once I arrived the first morning all the fear had evaporated.
The classes are really good fun and a proper workout if you put the effort in. Chrissie runs through the exercises with detail and takes you through the levels.
I thoroughly enjoy the classes and can really feel the difference it’s making to my flexibility, balance and

Chrissie is an amazing instructor and physiotherapist.
I was in a lot of pain when I first started these classes and from her guidance and regular exercises my pain has reduced massively, I am stronger, more flexible and know how to manage flares when they come.
I wouldn’t ever go to a non-physio led class now since Chrissie takes us through safe, evidence-based exercises. She can cater to different levels based on which MSK issue you have and will always give extra advice based on her experience in physio practice.
I hope she keeps teaching forever so I can keep coming every week!
