I tried 6 times to get through to reception and make an appointment and when I eventually got through I was cut off. I phoned earlier to order a repeat prescription and I wasn't given enough time to tell them what I wanted. When I eventually got through to reception to make an appointment I was told I couldn't make one and would have to call back at 0800 the following day. I don't think they want people to call them.

I have found the receptionists to be helpful. However I am in such severe pain that I am having to force myself to move and as of today, 26th October, I have been waiting for an XRAY for over three weeks. It's completely unacceptable and I am unfortunately going to have to attend A&E. Covid is not responsible for the shocking downfall of medical care in Scotland.

Multiple issues with this practice, the most serious of which is because my husband had been trying to get an appointment for months for severe stomach pain. He finally got a referral for a gastrointestinal scan, incompetent staff sent referral letter to wrong address as we were moving (staff were told multiple times not to post to previous address - they called the day we moved so made it very clear). Referral letter was sent to previous address as we got a call today from hospital hill asking why we missed our appointment. When we advised we moved and hadn't received it at the new address we

I had a call with Dr Mitchell and I was left in tears. She was rude and accusatory. I was left with no help. Time and time again I can’t get an appointment. I have to beg to get anywhere. If your thinking of joining Hospital Hill surgery just don’t. You might as well not have a doctors surgery.
I dread calling them. The reception staff are so rude. When I have issues with my skin or need antibiotics etc I just buy through online websites and speak to online doctors rather than deal with them.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

I totally agree with the comments on Dr Soppit. I went to see her about menopausal issues and the whole time she sat typing on her computer and then wrote out a label and handed it to me and said read that website. Goodbye. I came out in tears. Have had her on a few occasions and she is very rude and not interested. Makes you feel you're a burden. Will never go back to her!

I have recently moved back to Scotland & was still registered here. When I made my first appointment to give my medication & physical health records to the practice for my cancer care follow ups, I was asked what dr I would prefer to see. I said to reception any dr BUT dr soppit because when I had to deal with her a few years back she was narcissistic, didn't listen to my needs, had fobbed me off before and overall acted like she was better than me. I asked for either dr Mitchell or dr Burt who I had good experiences with & who actually have empathy for their patients. Who called me back though
