The practice was established in 1976 with one general practitioner. By 1982, the practice had grown to four general practitioners with approximately 6,000 patients and moved into the purpose-built health centre we are in today. The practice currently has seven partners, one salaried GP as well as GP registrars.

Our practice population is around 10,000. We want to help you get the right medical assistance when you're ill, injured or have a long term condition. Going directly to the person with the appropriate skills is important. This can help you to a speedier recovery and makes sure all NHS services are run efficiently.
Services
We welcome your comments on things we are doing well within the practice and also welcome your suggestions on things we can improve. If you would like to make a suggestion or provide us with any feedback. Your feedback is extremely important to us as it helps us to see what we are doing well at and areas for improvement.
There are many services available to help you to stay healthy. Some of these services can be accessed directly (see below), and for others you need to be registered with a GP Practice (Surgery). When you wish to consult a GP about your medical condition, you need to contact the Surgery with which you are registered to arrange to be seen.
Margaret-Anne Smith is the Practice Manager and is responsible for the day to day running of the health centre and the management of the practice. If you have any suggestions, complaints or comments to make, please feel free in the first instance to discuss these with her. In her absence, you should contact her deputy, Alison Campbell, Office Manager.
The surgery is open from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. We are closed at weekends and on Public Holidays. Telephone Livingston 01506 414586. During the day this telephone number will connect you with a Health Centre receptionist, who will then connect you with the service you require.

In order to further improve the quality of care to our patients, the surgery closes one afternoon per month - usually a Wednesday - to participate in educational activities, staff training and practice development. The date of this is always posted on the front door at least one month in advance.
When the practice is closed, there is an out of hours' emergency medical service available at all times. This service is meant for urgent and emergency problems and should not be used to avoid the inconvenience of consulting during the day. If you need out of hours help, you should telephone 111 which is a free-phone number nationwide.

I cannot praise Dedridge health centre enough for the 1st class care and assistance I have received. Since the start of the year I Have had a number of health issues and have received excellent assistance from everyone I have had contact with. The staff are working under a lot of pressure but still manage to treat people with the utmost respect. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Kind staff, phone calls don’t feel intimidating when talking to the receptionists or a dr as they’re pretty reassuring, the good experiences outweigh the not so good ones, they’re usually always really helpful :)

I have just completed a 14 week work placement at the practice and I can’t recommend them highly enough. That place is like the Tardis; there is so much more going on behind that front desk than you can see. The staff really are working so hard to meet the needs of the local community. They are busy, they are caring and compassionate and they work very hard. The staff are welcoming, informed, professional and extremely patient with everyone I heard and observed them working with and for. The 5stars doesn’t come close the the work they do.

Very old and unprofessional place.
Very long waiting list.
I have seen 4 different doctors and non of them where really confident enough to solve. Your helath condition. Waisted many hours there over several months. Also had some useless prescription from doctors. I would not recommend this place.

Very friendly staff, Doctors are very knowledgeable. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Can be very noisy and lacks privacy at reception area. Parking can be lacking at busy times especially with local shop nearby.
