Services
Richmond Borough Mind is rooted in the local community and exists to meet local mental health needs. Through our various projects, staff and volunteers, we provide high quality, individually tailored services so people can live full lives and be connected to other people in their communities.
We work with others - from small local community groups to the Mental Health Trust - to minimise the impact of mental health problems and in partnership we aim to improve people's experience of mental health services.

Richmond Borough Mind incorporates and fully supports the Mind Quality management system which was initiated in 2001 and reviewed in 2009, and to which we adhere. As part of ensuring a commitment to quality in organisational standards we have developed a number of policies, practices and procedures on key areas.
We all need emotional support, particularly during these difficult times. Feelings such as low mood, stress and anxiety can impact our mental health, and sometimes you just need to talk about it. RB Mind's Helpline offers a confidential listening and support service for anyone over 18 years old living in the borough of Richmond upon Thames.
During your initial referral you will be asked to provide us with some basic information including your address and telephone number, and why you are seeking counselling at RB Mind. All information will be held confidentially, following data-protection guidelines and policies.

We also offer Coping with Life Courses which are designed to help people with a range of common psychological difficulties. These are of six weeks duration and in a small group. We aim to give as much choice as possible regarding gender, ethnic origin and age of counsellor. However, the more specific your requirements the longer you may have to wait for an appointment.
