Mind Allies
Although an annual event, this last year has seen an increased number of people struggle with their mental health. Traditionally, it's a time for donations to be sought, alongside raising awareness of these issues. However, Mind Allies feel that a different approach can bring a fresh new look at mental health.

Find out when our events take place and how you can participate to help us create awareness. The pandemic has been a difficult time for most. If you know someone that may be having a bad day or going through a difficult time, nominate them to receive a Ritual Self-Care Gift Set. Kindness can go a long way.
Services
Mind Allies started with a thought that stemmed from experience. Experience that there was a lack of help for people suffering from depression, anxiety or considering suicide. A thought that the help that did exist could be more effective, more accessible, and offer more understanding and support. And so, Mind Allies was born.
We know that mental health, like physical health, can fluctuate throughout life. Our mental health can be influenced by social, physical, geographical, economic, and emotional changes, and it is important that people have access to the support they need whenever they need it. This is especially vital in times of crisis, when our mental well-being is threatened by changing circumstances.
Mind Allies is a different kind of Mental Health Support organisation. By learning from personal experiences, we are working to ensure that our principles and goals stay at the centre of everything we do. We have two boards who work together to safeguard our volunteers and ensure that we are offering the best frontline care possible.
The mission of Mind Allies is two-fold: We are currently working towards achieving measurable, immediately impactful goals that will start the process of transforming mental health care. We also have longer-term goals that are integrated into our current work. Our goal is to provide support for everyone.
Over the past couple of years, there's been a significant change in the way we see mental health today. Across the UK, many organisations and individuals have campaigned to improve the rights and support for mental health issues. This has resulted in a decrease in negative judgement, and a far greater understanding, which, in turn, has lead to more people opening up and seeking help.

Been trying to talk to someone there for months and the only place where I got a response was via email and I'm not interested in email support

This place is amazing! I’ve been struggling with my mental health for years and found it difficult to get the correct support and help I needed. They’re incredibly warm and friendly and this is the first time I’ve been able to be open and honest with my thoughts and feelings. So grateful that this place exists!

I will only speak from my own true experience. I found this organisation by mistake, and I will say this: They saved my life (and still). I spoke to someone from there who has continuously been there for me every time I needed them, literally. Additionally, they provided me with fully paid best in class therapy that I'm still going through. I am so lucky to have found them and I'm so grateful they exist.

They advertise immediate help 24/7 but leave you waiting weeks for a single reply. Times get busy, I know.... but to wait weeks for a reply is awful. Somebody wrote on their Facebook page that they have been waiting over TWO MONTHS for a reply but they must have deleted the comment because now I can’t find it.... convenient! I did finally get a reply from somebody who was quite pushy with me when I was feeling vulnerable, almost as if they were TELLING me I had to go and do something that I just did not have the energy or motivation to do, it felt like they had more important things to be doing

Mind Allies really helped me through a very tough time. They helped me get therapy, and have supported me afterwards. It was nice to hear a friendly, understanding voice when I was struggling.

I found out my sister used this and they were awful. She waited so long for a reply that never came. I’m glad it has worked for others, but they need to be inclusive of everybody.
