If you're looking for an experienced and highly qualified clinical psychologist, the team at themindworks is here to help - offering a wide range of private mental health care services in London and via Skype/video conferencing, we provide a safe place for you to discuss and overcome the personal challenges you're facing.
The first appointment is an initial assessment. It is an opportunity for us to begin to put together a picture of how things are for you, why and what you would like to be different. We will ask you questions about when the problem started, how it fluctuates, things you may have tried before to deal with it, the effect it has on your life and work, and what thoughts and feelings you have about it.
Most people are unsure about what to expect when they meet with a psychologist. We don't need to know EVERYTHING about you in order to be of help. You don't need to answer or reveal anything that you don't want to. We have a set of specialist skills and years of experience which often means we're accurate at hypothesising what you may be feeling and thinking, but we can't read minds.
