Services
Our services support Moroccan women and Arabic speaking women with mental well being, advocacy, honorary legal services, accomodation support, Domestic abuse support and many community activities. Angelou is a partnership of nine specialist organisations that have come together to support women and girls experiencing domestic or sexual violence and harmful practices across Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea.
The Mental Health project is funded by The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Corporate Services. The service offers individual support for Arabic-speaking women who suffer from enduring mental health problems and live in the borough. Women experiencing mental health problems often find their difficulties impact on their daily life.
The Older People's Outreach service is funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Corporate Services and is a service for elderly Arabic-speaking women and men aged 55 years and over who live in the borough. Older women and men are faced with many challenges as they try to manage their daily lives and take care of their own needs once they reach a certain age and their families (if they have any) have flown the coup.
This project, funded by The Big Lottery has been created, initially, as a 12 month programme to bring together families who have been affected by the Grenfell fire tragedy. We aim to provide a safe space for families to get together to interact, share their experiences and spend time with their peers.
The Grenfell inferno caused detrimental effects on the survivors, such as displacement, trauma, financial difficulties, and many others. Consequently, this led to the interaction and bond between family members to be severely disrupted.

Based on the struggles that members of our community have faced, Al-Hassaniya Women's Charity launched the Saturday Club Project to provide a safe space to enable families to congregate, reconnect and rebuild relationships affected by the tragedy.
