I am a Mental Health Social Worker and an Approved Mental Health Professional, and Social Work University Tutor. I have a Master's degree in Youth Justice Probation and Applied Criminology and have engaged in continuous professional development throughout my career. I have gained substantial experience managing and caring for dementia sufferers, mental health, physical disability and sensory impaired clients.
I spent over twenty years working in health and social care settings, doing a job I thoroughly enjoyed but becoming increasingly frustrated by the inequality and lack of heart in the system. I wanted to provide good quality care and support, regardless of race, class, gender or disability. I wanted to run a service that did not limit the quality of care simply because of the time that was allocated to that individual.

Services
Our care service is well equipped to work with customers with dementia, Parkinson's disease and old age related struggles. However, we understand that it is essential for these customers to be supported to maintain their sense of identity and feeling of self-worth. We hold regular conversations and engage with our customers about daily activities whilst respecting their privacy and addressing their cultural and day to day care needs.
In our supported living service, we aim to support independence and provide the right care for our clients to address their needs and requirements. We provide help to clients to develop day to day living skills, encouraging them to learn new things, at the same time supporting in building confidence.
How do you address my cultural, religious, and ethnic needs, and those based on sexual orientation?
