We are here for people in Sutton whose mental health has had a severe impact on their lives. In normal times, we run a drop-in service in Belmont which is open 5 days across the week. We offer a home cooked lunch, advice, support and activities based around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. Through our Intentional Peer Support service, we offer non-judgemental emotional support for individuals and groups.
For those experiencing mental and emotional distress this can be a real lifeline. We also support people who use mental health services to have a voice in the designing and commissioning of the services they receive, through Sutton 1in4 and Sutton Mental Health Commissioning Advisory Group. We send out regular e-updates of our latest news and activities, you can access recent issues below.

Sutton Crisis Caf is a new non-judgemental service for people in mild to moderate mental health crisis, who just need a safe place to be and someone to listen. The Sutton Crisis Caf offers out-of-hours support to adults in Sutton whose mental health is becoming overwhelming. We provide a safe, non-clinical, supportive environment to people experiencing a mild to moderate mental health crisis, as an alternative to attending A&E.
You may not be the one in crisis, but could be caring for a family member or friend who needs crisis support. We will be in contact with them as soon as possible (within 24 hours), so please make sure you have discussed going to the crisis caf with them and that they know you have been in touch and that we will phone.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sutton Mental Health Foundation. If you think you would be interested in taking on one of the roles below, please get in touch. SMHF is looking for a volunteer to help with food preparation for our lunches and coffee mornings. We are looking for someone happy to deal with people, answer the telephone, take money and food orders and clear tables.
Sutton Mental Health Foundation is a registered charity. That means we are an organisation whose primary purpose is to create social impact rather than profit. We are registered with the Charity Commission and with Companies House as a charitable company and are governed by charity law. We have an independent board of directors, also called Trustees, who are volunteers.
