Our charming village inn makes the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - eat. drink. Relax in our comfortable Inn during the winter months in front of a roaring log burner in cosy and ambient surroundings or during the summer months on our fabulous raised terrace with panoramic sea views.
Head Chef Max Ellerton has a wealth of experience and aims to bring the best dining experience in Plymouth by making the very most of the bountiful, fresh, seasonal local produce that Devon is famous for. Came here for lunch in the sun with my wife & mum - the food is outstanding (the calves liver dish in particular was delicious) as is the selection of local ciders.

Lots to love about this pub. Decor is good, and staff are welcoming and friendly. Like most similar establishments this one is leaning more on the restaurant side versus pub grub. Prices reflect this, hence dropping one star.
Good ales and cider, and the views out to the Eddystone lighthouse are stunning.

Booked in advance, an hour before. We sat at a lovely table, really nice sea views and had fish and chips. Tasty food and service was fast. Queue to order was a bit slow as there is only one person at the till doing both ordering and drinks. Suggest to use a handy app to order and pay for food to avoid crowding in the queue.

Visited today and had the taste of the sea. I haven’t enjoyed a meal as much in a long time. It was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef. The lady that served us was friendly and attentive. Explained… the menu perfectly. The portion sizes were generous, even with the children’s meals. All in all it was a lovely visit. Hopefully this review will go some to cheer the manager up, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile.
