The Eddystone
Our charming village inn makes the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - eat. drink. Relax in our comfortable Inn during the winter months in front of a roaring log burner in cosy and ambient surroundings or during the summer months on our fabulous raised terrace with panoramic sea views.

Head Chef Max Ellerton has a wealth of experience and aims to bring the best dining experience in Plymouth by making the very most of the bountiful, fresh, seasonal local produce that Devon is famous for. Came here for lunch in the sun with my wife & mum - the food is outstanding (the calves liver dish in particular was delicious) as is the selection of local ciders.
Services
With an amazing atmosphere, couches to sink into, roaring log burner, sea and good food, local real ales, local ciders and great company - this is the place to bring your friends and family for a memorable night in or out!

The spacious bar area is ideal for entertaining and catching up with all the latest news and our stylishly designed dining areas are perfect for enjoying great local dishes for intimate dinners or lunches or for larger gatherings. We also cater for private parties in our separate restaurant seating 50 persons - so if you have a special occasion to celebrate from small weddings and christenings to birthday parties and corporate events.

Me and my husband had a lovely meal at the Eddystone Inn when we were staying locally. Would recommend to others eating here. Perfect location to go for a coastal walk and then for a meal afterwards.

Best chicken pie I've ever had. Lovely fresh vegetables and buttery mash on the side. We walked from Plymouth along the coast path and this was exactly what we needed.

Lots to love about this pub. Decor is good, and staff are welcoming and friendly. Like most similar establishments this one is leaning more on the restaurant side versus pub grub. Prices reflect this, hence dropping one star.
Good ales and cider, and the views out to the Eddystone lighthouse are stunning.

On a week's holiday we spent a few afternoon's and an evening here. The staff and food were perfect, not a single complaint from the 6 of us. The building and decor was beautiful, along with exceptional view's.

Booked in advance, an hour before. We sat at a lovely table, really nice sea views and had fish and chips. Tasty food and service was fast. Queue to order was a bit slow as there is only one person at the till doing both ordering and drinks. Suggest to use a handy app to order and pay for food to avoid crowding in the queue.

Visited today and had the taste of the sea. I haven’t enjoyed a meal as much in a long time. It was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef. The lady that served us was friendly and attentive. Explained… the menu perfectly. The portion sizes were generous, even with the children’s meals. All in all it was a lovely visit. Hopefully this review will go some to cheer the manager up, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile.

We had the most beautiful meal tonight, nicest food we’ve had in a really long time. The duck salad is glorious - it should absolutely be a main meal - the children’s meal was very high quality and overall fabulous atmosphere - well done indeed.

Brilliant service and relaxed atmosphere. Not a long wait at all either. The sea bass was delicious, and the mussels were the tastiest I’ve had in ages. Will be back soon.
Update: Did not disappoint on return!

The food was incredible but do not expect it to be cheap! This place is very calm and quiet with great views and a great selection of drinks. Great for special occasions.
