We are a small, homely, 45 place Private Day Nursery situated in the heart of Chester Green in Derby. Our two storey, detached house is fully equipped for your little ones aged from 3 months to 5 years with three units to accommodate them as they grow and flourish with their age and stage of development.

We are a small, homely nursery where parents can leave their children in the knowledge that their little ones are happy, safe and stimulated to reach their full potential. Sunny days nursery are proud to house a team of fully qualified and Pediatric trained staff who are passionate about working with children.
The EYFS (Early year's foundation stage) is a framework that all nurseries follow to support childrens learning between the ages of birth to five. At Sunny days, we use the 7 areas of learning in all of our planning, observations and childrens learning journeys to ensure every area is covered.
These areas of learning ensure a holistic development of children and their skills across the curriculum, building on their previous learning experiences, knowledge and skills.Through their play, children practice and consolidate their learning, play with ideas, experiment, take risks, solve problems, and make decisions.

Wonderful homely environment. Staff are just like a family for my son and they've helped me at each stage of him growing up so far, giving advice and encouraging him like he's one of their family too. Recently moved little one to Sunny Days Nursery from another nursery in the area and I am delighted with them!
Our baby unit boasts three separate rooms; a playroom, sensory room and an arts and craft room. All rooms have been designed and equipped to support the holistic development needs of babies and young children in a calm, cosy, home from home environment. Babies have their own designated garden outside which benefits from artificial grass providing a safe surface for babies to explore in all weathers.

Brilliant Nursery my son has been going since he was 3 months and now 2 1/2 he loves it. I know the team are always very caring and enthusiastic not just doing a job but actually being part of our extended family almost in a way as they are always happy to help with any questions I have as a first time mum. It’s nice there is a mix of ages working there as I believe there is a need for both new/young blood but also experienced long term staff, some of which are mummy’s themselves. This profession is one of the most important jobs out there and deserves allot of respect. I’ve recommended Sunny
